-2147319779 Automation error

I installed MCMS SP1a on an Windows2003 SP1 Server and applied MCMS SP2
(nothing else).

If I open DCA afterwards and try to connect to an empty or restored SP1a
database locally on MS SQL 2000 with SP4 I get the error:

Error Application C:\Program Files\Microsoft Content Management
Server\Server\..\LogFiles\DCALog.txt: Thread ID: 1392 ,Logged:
Unable to connect to database
-2147319779.Automation error
Library not registered.

--> Reinstalled Script 5.6 an rebooted. Still the same error.

Please help.

Hi Jens,

a mandatory COM component is not registered on your machine.
Just from looking at this error message it is not possible to say which COM
component this could be.
Please download regmon from www.sysinternals.com and run it while running
the DCA.
Search the log for all errors in while the DCA runs.

Is reinstalling an option (SP2?!) or applying the Post SP2 rollup package?

component this could be.

the DCA.

Hi Jens,

this is just a hotfix that corrects the nrdhtml.cab file for non-english
MCMS versions.
That is not a rollup fix.
I would suggest to reinstall SP2 and check if the problem is resolved.
Or go with my previous suggestion to use regmon.

If there is no solution I will probably open a support case.

this is just a hotfix that corrects the nrdhtml.cab file for non-english
MCMS versions.
That is not a rollup fix.
I would suggest to reinstall SP2 and check if the problem is resolved.
Or go with my previous suggestion to use regmon.

a mandatory COM component is not registered on your machine.
Just from looking at this error message it is not possible to say
which
COM
component this could be.
Please download regmon from www.sysinternals.com and run it
while
running
the DCA.
Search the log for all errors in while the DCA runs.

I installed MCMS SP1a on an Windows2003 SP1 Server and applied
MCMS
SP2
(nothing else).
If I open DCA afterwards and try to connect to an empty or
restored
SP1a
Error Application C:\Program Files\Microsoft Content
Management
Unable to connect to database
-2147319779.Automation error
Library not registered.
--> Reinstalled Script 5.6 an rebooted. Still the same error.
Please help.

package?

Hi Jens,
a mandatory COM component is not registered on your machine.
Just from looking at this error message it is not possible to say
which
COM
component this could be.
Please download regmon from www.sysinternals.com and run it
while
running
the DCA.
Search the log for all errors in while the DCA runs.

I installed MCMS SP1a on an Windows2003 SP1 Server and applied
MCMS
SP2
(nothing else).
If I open DCA afterwards and try to connect to an empty or
restored
SP1a
Error Application C:\Program Files\Microsoft Content
Management
Server\Server\..\LogFiles\DCALog.txt: Thread ID: 1392
Unable to connect to database
-2147319779.Automation error
Library not registered.
--> Reinstalled Script 5.6 an rebooted. Still the same error.
Please help.
